Casual anti-semitism

A classic example from Andrew Sullivan, in an off hand remark while discussing Palin and the tea party:
This hope that somehow they can mean the down-playing of Christianism seems like wishful thinking to me. And the idea of these people running foreign policy on the basis of religious doctrine, Greater Israel, institutionalized torture and anti-Muslim bigotry, is terrifying.

Catch that? Support for Israeli policy is the equivalent of support for "institutionalized torture and anti-Muslim bigotry", all three being equally bad evils.

What's the classic Jew hater's excuse? Oh, right, "I'm anti Israel, not anti Semitic!"

Don't buy it.
