Remember Tim Geithner?
He's the super genius we needed to run the treasury department, even though it turned out he was a tax cheat, because only he was brilliant enough to help turn the economy around.
"Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner says the U.S. economy has suffered a lot of damage in the current downturn and it's going to take time before it fully recovers."
Anyone else, of any intelligence, would reach the same conclusion. Geithner has shown no additional or unique insights or prescriptions. Of course, everyone else up for the job except Geithner paid their taxes. I fail to see any proof so far that we had to give the treasury secretary job to a tax cheat because of Geithner's brilliant insights and talents.
