The move fuelled concern in Israel, where commandos were training for another possible confrontation at sea.
Israel warned Iran, its arch-enemy, to drop the plan.
The Iranian move came days after Israel, under international pressure following its deadly raid on a Gaza-bound flotilla last month, said it was easing its three-year blockade of the coastal strip.
Is "world opinion" so naive and / or anti Israel that it will trust Iran's motives and actions?
