Notice the Mumbai police, armed, refused to shoot the two terrorists in the train station.
An armed society is a polite society - and a far safer society for good folks targeted by terrorists like this.

Barry, I have to agree with Andrew. More to the point, the Mumbai murderers were not "10 crazy people," they were trained terrorists, and I would wager that their military arms were not the sort "you can buy at any shopping center."
More importantly, these kinds of mass murder shootings always take place in gun free zones!
India has extremely strict "gun control" laws. The security personnel at the Oberoi Hotel, according to an article in the International Herald Tribune, are not even armed, because getting them gun permits is just too difficult.
Unarmed people are sitting ducks. An active, alert, armed citizenry is our best defense against mass murderers and genocide.
If you want to do something to prevent such mass murder attacks in America, you owe it to yourself and to your fellow citizens to join the NRA and support efforts to educate the public about the God-given right of self-defense, the constitutionally-protected right to keep & bear arms, and the technologies we all need to master in order to remain free.
