I didn't go to the link youtwist, but perhaps (and I am speculating here), what he is talking about is not just that somebody "read his public blog" but also made calls to "check him out" or "investigate" him or his background personally, in some way. In other words, "out" him, and "expose" him so that any desired hatred and venom (and threats?) can be delivered personally.
Like Joe the Plumber's entire life history, personal and financial, was researched and then made public. He asks the "wrong" question, so what needs to happen? Dig up every bit of dirt which can be found on him in order to discredit him. That's what needs to happen.
Like when some sites research and locate and then put pictures of a bloggers house on the internet, or post pictures of the bloggers kids and what school they go to.
You know..."Whatever it takes." The ends justify the means.
That sort of thing is not done for any other reason other than to attempt to intimidate the politically incorrect person in question, into silence.
I clicked on the link and read the comments, and the only things I could come up with were:
"This, ahem, "bloggers" name is apparant and a little Google-Fu will tell you all you need to know about him."
And,
"Oh my god, this guy is a total nutcase. Anyway, I put it on a notepad - how about during his next diary we paste his entire posting history?"
He was also, inexplicably accused of lying about voting for McCain.
But yes, that is all I did see.
Typical leftist venom reaction to his blog article? Sure. So what else is new in liberal-land.
But actual Joe The Plumber, treatment?
I'm not seeing it either. Not yet at least. Good catch Twist!
I suppose of Barry insists on keeping it up, expresssing all these incorrect sentiments, the response level may ramp up also. But he shouldn't jump the gun too quickly.
The only thing remarkable is that he's free to blog at a place that isn't interested in what he's selling. If that's typical liberal behavior, then fine - maybe conservtives could learn a thing or two about diversity of ideas. If I were to try to blog on Free Republic, would they be as generous? If you're honest, I think we both know that the real question is how fast would they delete me.
Free speech is a two way street - he wants to blog there, but doesn't think they should be allowed to criticize him. And their biggest crime was unearthing a political blog of his that he tried to throw down the memory hole so that he could pretend to be someone he isn't.
People don't like being lied to - that's pretty much universal.
For every Free Republic which may ban a liberal blogger, there are DailyKos type blogs who will ban conservatives.
The idea that conservative bloggers will have more opportunities to "state their case" on a liberal blog site than vice versa, is a total fantasy.
And so your big gripe is that Barry closing down a site called Concerned Democrats for McCain, because well, after all, the election is....oh yeah..OVER, and opening up "Far Right Democrat" is somehow "lying?"
Lying about what?
How has he lied? Where has he represented that he voted for Obama and not McCain, on this site or anywhere else?
before people's heads explode:) I think we should consider the phrase tongue in cheek and reference the all caps LOL that Barry put in the subject line. My personal take was this post was supposed to be for a laugh, not anything serious. Just a thought.

I don't get it. You feel like you're being persecuted because someone read your public blog?
What am I missing?

Maybe that is what you are missing. Just a guess.
Yeah maybe.
Or perhaps you should follow the link. Facts matter.

Unless I am missing something too. Barry?
