And it sounds like the media is presenting this as though it discredits anti-Obama talking points.
How exactly does it discredit them?

He admits that the fund-raiser at his house happened. That's something else that the Obama people and the media tried to deny.
He also goes a step further and says he DONATED to Obama at that fundraiser, something that was never raised.
