This would be great news if the Taliban were running out of insurgents

Sixteen tribal militants, affiliated with the pro-government local Taliban commander Maulvi Nazeer, were killed on Saturday and four others sustained injuries in a missile strike by the US drones on a militant hideout in Angoor Adda area of South Waziristan Agency.

Taliban sources close to Maulvi Nazeer said three drones took part in the early morning attack and fired five missiles on the compound of local militant commander Haleemullah Wazir in Meezh Naray village. The commander wasn’t present at the targeted place.

Another commander of the Maulvi Nazeer group told The News by phone from Wana, the headquarters of South Waziristan, that Haleemullah Wazir had reached Wana and was staying with other militants at a secret location.

Pleading anonymity, he said the compound was demolished by the missile strike while two vehicles parked there were also destroyed in the attack.

The Taliban has more insurgents than we have missiles.

We will go bankrupt if we try to bomb them all.
