$37 billion more for war

A bitterly divided House approved $37 billion in new spending yesterday for the war in Afghanistan after a heated floor debate about whether the conflict is unnecessary and diverting resources from the larger fight against terrorism.

The "anti war" party won the House of Representatives four years ago on an anti war platform of "spend the money at home".

It's made no difference as to whether we make war. The only difference is where we make war.
