Another gift to Republicans from corrupt Democrats

"I won't cut a deal," said Rep. Maxine Waters.

Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., today adamantly refuted charges brought against her by the House Ethics Committee. . . . Waters was charged by the ethics panel with violating House rules in 2008. The charges stem from a meeting that Waters requested at the onset of the financial crisis in September 2008 . . . "I won't go behind closed doors," she said. "I won't cut a deal."

Waters used her influence to bail out a bank with federal money, which saved her husband's $300,000 investment in the bank's stock.

Every day this is in the news, it helps the Republican ticket (particularly the Republican candidates for governor and U.S. senate in California). News coverage of these Democratic scandals are free commercials for the opposition.

If Waters really cared about the people and issues she supposedly works for, she'd step aside.
