More toothless warnings for Iran

"The announcement and confirmation Friday that Iran has built a secret underground plant to enrich uranium raises the prospects that the U.N. Security Council will propose new international sanctions in an attempt to derail Iran's nuclear ambitions. The United States and its allies Friday gave Iran two months to comply with international demands to come clean on its expanding nuclear program, or face broader sanctions, perhaps even targeting the country's gasoline imports."

"The United States and its allies Friday gave Iran two months to comply with international demands to come clean on its expanding nuclear program, or face broader sanctions"? Does anyone think a stern warning. followed by less than universally enforced sanctions, will do anything to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons?

Knowing what Iran was up to, Obama nonetheless wasted everyone's time last week, calling for a "nuclear free world". It's as if he'd rather get good headlines for one day than actually do his job.
