End the war now . . . or by 2011?

"Vice President Joe Biden pledged Thursday to follow Iraq's wishes should Baghdad decide to speed up the timetable for the withdrawal of American troops from the country. . . . The agreement currently calls for the withdrawal of American combat forces by the end of August 2010 and all U.S. troops by the end of the following year."

It's nice that Obama and Biden will follow Iraq's wishes.

But, I'd prefer they follow America's wishes (clearly expressed in 2006 and 2008).

Those were the elections in which America voted to end the war sooner rather than later.
