Afghanistan excuses from the "progressive" blogosphere:
"To a degree the President is in a trap of his own making. Having termed the war in Afghanistan a "war of necessity," the President set in motion a course from which he cannot easily withdraw. In hindsight, it was perhaps foolish or premature to have ordered an extra 21,000 troops there within weeks of taking office before even settling on a strategy."

"It was perhaps foolish or premature"?
No, it was foolish, premature, irresponsible and with reckless disregard for the lives of our military men and women "to have ordered an extra 21,000 troops there . . . before even settling on a strategy".
If this error of judgment was by a President Bush or a President McCain, there would be marches on Washington . . . led by the progressive bloggers.
