There was a time when . . . .

women's rights groups would have defended a prominent woman from attacks based upon her appearance, dress or sexual practices. No more. Now, you're only worthy of protection if you agree with them on all issues, not simply because you're a woman being unfairly attacked.

"Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin took a second swipe at David Letterman on Wednesday, calling the CBS “Late Show” host’s jokes about one of her daughters “disgusting” and “sexually perverted.” . . . Her husband, Todd, added in the same statement that “any ‘jokes’ about raping my 14-year-old are despicable. Alaskans know it, and I believe the rest of the world knows it, too.”
