Relocating Guantanamo detainees

The Obama administration is irked that Germany won't take any detainees after Guantanamo is shut down.

"President Barack Obama said Friday the U.S. hasn't asked Germany to take specific detainees from Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, and that Chancellor Angela Merkel hasn't made any ``hard commitments.''

The real problem is that none of Obama's cabinet members would allow released Guantanamo detainees into their states. As long as former Kansas Governor and now HHS Secretary Sebellius effectively opposes the use of Kansas' high security Leavenworth military prison, why should Merkel volunteer Germany?
