Some people need to go away

Our politics would be better if some people just went away.

For instance:

"On July 7, 2007, at approximately 7:15 p.m. at Jefferson and M Street, Northwest, in Washington, D.C., defendant [Marcus Epstein] was walking down the street making offensive remarks when he encountered the complainant, Ms. [REDACTED], who is African-American. The defendant [Marcus Epstein] uttered, “Nigger,” as he delivered a karate chop to Ms. [REDACTED]’s head."

A stoned out Marcus Epstein physically attacked a black woman on a public street for no reason, and called her a racial slur. (He pled guilty.)

Marcus Epstein is obviously mentally unstable and a racist. You would think Epstein would be fired from any public policy or government job. You would think that any public figures or organizations with which Epstein is associated would separate themselves from him.

Instead, Marcus Epstein still works as the executive director of Tom Tancredo’s Team America PAC, alongside Bay Buchanan (Pat Buchanan's sister).

Bay Buchanan acknowledges that she knew all along about Epstein's crime and that she nonetheless kept him on staff at the organizations she chairs. Further, Buchanan defends him as a victim of a "modern day lynching" who "deserves to have his good name returned to him."

I won't argue what Epstein deserves. That's for the courts. But, people who share any of Bay Buchanan's beliefs deserve to have her shut up and go way. She hurts her causes, she doesn't help them.
