The anti war party won the White House in 2008, with a pledge to end Middle East adventurism and unpopular wars. It didn't.
Instead, they rehired Bush's defense team (Secretary of Defense Gates and General Petraeus), are following the Bush plan in Iraq (including permanent bases and permanently stationing 50,000 troops) and escalated in Afghanistan.
But, we're supposed to trust them on the Gulf oil spill and energy policy!
