Ted Kennedy's Senate seat

With his healthcare-reform plan and more hanging in the balance, President Barack Obama campaigned for a desperate Democrat in a tight race to fill Ted Kennedy's Senate seat.

Why haven't they figured out that every time they refer to it as "Ted Kennedy's Senate seat", they increase the likelihood of the Republicans capturing it?

Whatever the media and various partisan Kennedy supporters may have thought, Massachusetts voters saw Ted Kennedy as an old, out of touch, adulterous alcoholic running a corrupt political machine.

Some one should point out that the Democrats are in this position because Kennedy thought his personal and family power were too important to sacrifice by timely resignation after a diagnosis of terminal cancer.

Leave it to those idiotic Democrats to lose a seat from the most Democratic district in the country that has been solidly Democratic since 1953 (five years before I was born!) Every time I forget why I left that joke of a party twelve years ago, they always cheerfully remind me.
