The Obama administration's stated goal is to demonstrate to the world that everyone gets a fair trial in America.
Yet, to justify their decision to try the 9/11 terrorists in civilian court, the administration prejudges (and pre-convicts and pre-sentences) the defendants:
"President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder on Wednesday defended the controversial decision to prosecute the accused Sept. 11 conspirators in a New York federal court. Obama predicted that self-professed mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed would be convicted and executed."

Other than his hardcore, knee jerk supporters, no one will end up supporting Obama on this. Ironically, those on either side will oppose for opposite reasons.
