Many are demanding the release of the "torture" pictures.
Of course, there is another set of pictures and videos that have never been released - - video of people jumping from the top floors of the World Trade Center in a desperate attempt to escape a fiery death, and pictures of the burnt and mangled bodies and body parts uncovered by the rescue workers. These pictures and videos were also never released, out of respect to the families and to protect public sensibility and sensitivity.
I support the release of the torture pictures. And, I support prosecution as required. But, you really can't understand one set of pictures without looking at the other.
How about if we release both sets at the same time? Maybe splice together one video, and switch between the 3 terrorists who were waterboarded and the thousands of dead and dieing innocent victims in the Twin Towers? It would probably put things in context.
