Shirley Sherrod, ousted from the Agriculture Department during a racial firestorm that embarrassed the Obama administration, rejected an offer to return to the USDA on Tuesday. But at a cordial news conference with the man who asked her to leave _ Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack _ she said she may do consulting work for him on racial issues.http://www.wtopnews.com/?sid=2006997&nid=116
. . . Sherrod, who said she has gotten thousands of pieces of mail supporting her, repeated Tuesday that she plans to sue Breitbart. But she declined further questions on the subject.
If Sherrod rejected re-employment for the same or more money, she can't sue anyone for lost income. As a matter of law, from the moment she rejected that job, her unemployment and any lost income is no longer any blogger's fault.
