Seemingly suspicious pieces of luggage delayed flights at two airports Tuesday, prompting evacuations in Minneapolis and closing a California airport where authorities discovered soft drink bottles filled with what later appeared to be honey.

As someone who flies on business almost weekly, I personally find the increased security reassuring. The airport screeners are now doing their jobs. At least for today, they're working with military precision, not Department of Motor Vehicle indolence.
Before Christmas, there was always at least one screener at every airport talking on her cell phone when she was supposed to be looking at the x-ray machine.
