President Barack Obama on Sunday recalled the work of slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. as he urged those packing a Baptist church to take heart in hard times and celebrate progress — however small.

In fact, if Clinton or Bush or McCain were president in a time of such high unemployment and foreclosure rates in the black community, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, et al. would be planning another Million Man March on Washington
